The Buddy-Board™ is a frameless, 5×8 inch, double-sided dry-erase board made out of recycled plastic that is pre-printed on the front, providing categories to “Mark” or Log relevant information about the individual and the specific outdoor activity using the included non-toxic dry-erase marker.

Each Buddy-Board™ also comes with a removable, reusable static decal to be affixed to the vehicle’s rear window to identify the Buddy-Board™ user.

Valuable information “Marked” on the Buddy-Board™, when visibly placed in the vehicles dashboard, is instrumental in alerting & assisting Search & Rescue, Law Enforcement and additional Safety personnel with their efforts in the event the Buddy-Board™ user is in an accident or emergency.

What do I mark on the Buddy-Board™?

NAME / AGE: (example: If you don’t want to write your full name as Jill Smith - fill in “J. Smith”). Why is age important? In the event you’re in an emergency it will help safety personnel make crucial decisions knowing whether you’re 25 or 60.

HOMETOWN: List your city/town & state. (example: Boston, MA)

ACTIVITY: Be specific. If you’re hiking a trail to go climbing, please list both activities - if you run out of space, use the back side of the board and write “OVER” after your first activity. This will alert Safety Professionals to check the back of the board in emergency situations.

ACTIVITY AREA: (example: If your hiking “Red Trail” to go climb “Hanging Rock” list as follows “Red Trail / Hanging Rock”). If you run out of space, use the back side of the board and write “OVER” after your first area.

DEPARTURE TIME & RETURN TIME: It’s essential to mark the Date & the Time. (example: 9am-11/2)

ADDT’L: Mark with the total # of additional people followed by the ages. (example: 2 / 35, 41)

PETS: List the animal and #. (example: dogs 2 / horse 1)

GPS: Various cell phones and GPS products also have locating devices on them. List your service provider and/or product. (example: “Verizon”, “Spot”, “TracMe”, etc)
